Writing Inspiration and Quotes
I guess you guys have noticed that I have started to post a few quotes here and there. I decided to share some of my favorite quotes. I figure if I need a pick me up of inspiration then maybe you do too.
The quotes I have chosen so far include Neil Gaiman, love his books. Les Brown, he has some amazing advice on life, and a poet Rumi. Rumi was first introduced to me a couple of months ago. He was an Indian poet and his poetry is sparse yet powerful. And it maybe because it is sparse that it has power. I will let you decide.
I have decided to post the “Quote of the Day” on Mondays and Thursdays. And hopefully I will find new quotes and new people to add to the list.
I hope you enjoy and if there is somebody you find inspiring. Leave their name and quote in the comments. Cheers, james
Compass Rose
North, land of ice and snow
South, ancient tropical forests
East, far and distant lands
West, places beyond horizons
Heed me to one place I unite.
Each one seperate and equally whole.
Together a rose they form.
Many an adventure and journey have they gone.
Compass rose guide me far away and lead me home.
Storm coming
Wind rustle in the trees,
Rain drops twinkle and sparkle,
In the night, bright with light.
Thunder rumbles, lightening flashes.
The storm comes on unhurried and unconcerned.
Mothers comfort children,
Old folks whisper half forgotten tales.
Still the storm comes on.
Until at last the peaked furry subsides, and quiet calm remains.
