These are my go to books on writing. Some for information, some for inspiration and some for the halibut. I hope these authors might help you as they have helped me. I have grouped them by author.

Bartlett’s Book of Quotations

Lawrence Block: mystery writer genius. He has been one of my favorite writing authors.

Terry Brooks: a recent addition to my library. I have not read the Sharnara Chronicles yet. – Sometimes the Magic Works: a book on writing that is very worth reading.

Sir Arther Conan Doyle: A lifelong love affair with mystery.

Lazette Gilford: awesome little ebook on National Novel Writing Month.
-NaNo for the New and Insane

Robert E. Howard: a wonderful word smith that inspires my imagination. A writer’s writer at least for me.

Stephen King: Enough said.

Dean Koontz: Enough said.

-Book of Shadows- quotes from his books. Not an actual book.

Merriam-Webster dictionary

Scott Nichlson: smashword author, very cool ebook about writing.
-Write Good or Die

Russell Nohelty- Writing Masterclass-Complete Creative

Robert Louis Stevenson: Treasure Island, a favorite story growing up.
-Essays on the Art of Writing (new addition)

JRR Tolken: my gold standard in fantasy. A level to strive for but few will obtain.
-The Hobbit
-Lord of the Rings
